Hey!  ::waves::  I took my last final for this semester last Thursday and I'm taking the next two weeks off from work which adds up to a vacation from both work and school.  \o/

Enjoy the vacation - I completely understand how exhausting it is to do both work and school at the same time, so just have yourself a mini-Summer of True.

I would like to learn bookbinding, and papermaking. I have books on both subjects but think I'd do better in a class, you know? I'm sorry the class you were in didn't seem to get the idea of teaching (I'm sure the teacher understood the concept of "cashing the tuition check," though, didn't he?) - but if you're binding pages on your own, then good for you! :)

And remember - I'd read your grocery list, so anything you write would be neato.

My vacation doesn't officially start until tomorrow (I work Tuesday through Saturday) but I already feel lighter, for lack of a better word, just knowing that I don't have any obligations waiting for me.

I'm using a DVD to put together my first book and it's pretty clear. I have some how-to books but even when they go into detail - or maybe because they do - I get overwhelmed. I think once I finish making one the how-to books won't seem so intimidating.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. It means a lot. I haven't felt so eager to write in a long time and I plan to take advantage of it. In fact, that's where I'm off to right now. :)
