Last night, the Ogden Boyz went to the geek dinner at the nearby shakeys pizza. I think the last time I was in one was like 5 or 6 years ago, and that was the first time since childhood

Aha! A simple communication breakdown. We're so spoiled by the efficiency of speech and writing that we haven't honed our handsignaling skills. I saw you outside and waved back. You pointed back toward home, so I figured you were saying goodbye. To signal "let me in", either knock on the window or point to yourself, then point into the restaurant.

Actually I did prior to that point, at that stage i was cold so was indicating the proper hand signal.
