Oh, I love it! The way you wove the HRC information into the fic, in order to give the fic structure, is really brilliant touching- especially at the end. It's really fitting this got posted the day we here in America are waiting on the House to vote on a repeal of DADT.

Also? Your characterizations were amazing. That is definitely the reaction every single one of them would have- and I laughed, really laughed, at Jeff and Lester.

I hear it's going well on the DADT front! Yay! I'm happy about this coincidence. When I wrote the story last month, I had just read first reports on how DADT might be gone soon. I probably wouldn't have written the fic otherwise. It seems kinda fishy to me to write about DADT being repealed in such a random way, like you're ignoring reality.

DADT actually just got repealed by both houses of Congress! So now Obama just needs to sign it like he said he will and it will be GONE.

I was so pleased to be asked to beta this story. It's really well done. I'm about to board my flight (on time, btw) so I can't really leave a comment, but I just wanted to acknowledge again how great this fic was and say hi.

It's perhaps an especially appropriate day for me to have seen this, seeing as on the two-hour drive to the airport today, I called my senator's office and urged him to vote to repeal the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. :)
