I loved the characterizations!! Casey's gruffness and dodgy sense of humor, Chuck's scared-but-still-tough-ness. Also, the slight absurdity of events (Mountain Dew instead of a grenade, heee!). This seriously reads just like an episode would if it were set down into prose. You are amazing!!

The Chuck/Casey...I almost didn't click on this, but I trust you and love your writing. And while I want to say that there is NO WAY IN HELL that Casey could ever be into men....he's actually just that Republican, that he could be very, very deeply closeted. And Chuck being very firmly straight but okay with it. Well played!

I'm so so happy that you read and liked the story. I'm feeling really honored here. :) I know how pairings you don't care for can be suspicious making. I did try to make Sarah look good in the fic, too, not just because she's awesome but also because I thought maybe you'd read the fic.

I can absolutely see how Chuck/Casey would not be appealing for a lot of people if it isn't handled very carefully. Chuck, for me, is perfectly straight - frankly, I think if an open-minded guy like Chuck was bi, we would have noticed by now. As in, he would have said it aloud. Casey, though. Casey's clearly gathering dust in the closet. :D

And as we all know, sexuality is a continuum. At least it should be.

There is a sequel in my brain. As it is, there are two sequels in my brain, one of which is very short and one of which is... a lot longer than anything I've written in this language. Uhm. Well, no time like the present, I guess. :)
