How To Live and Love is my favorite fic of yours (followed by Back to Earth, but HTLAL is still #1), and one of the things I'm hoping for from Remix is that your remixer chooses this one and writes Hot Dog's POV. Because I loved that fic so much, I want MORE. So I was utterly delighted to see this

I'd totally love it if my remixer tackled HTLAL! I guess probably not, since it's so long. But I'd love it. And you know what I'd adore, too? If somebody ever wrote me porn set in this 'verse. I'd write it myself if I was any good with porn. I bet they'd be unbearably cute. :)

And I love the bits about how EVERYONE knows that Hot Dog is madly in love with Felix, but Brendan thinks he's keeping it so secret.

Heh. Brendan is one hell of a bluffer. But not when he's in love. He can keep a straight face alright, but he can't stop himself from talking about Felix all frakking day long. I bet Sharon and Racetrack are snickering behind his back, thinking he's so cute, and the only person who doesn't know is Felix, because Felix has the blindness to go with Brendan's lack of sublety. They're meant for each other. ;)

I cannot express how much I love your Hotdog's voice. I loved it in the original fic, but actually getting to hear his thoughts rather than just seeing him from Felix's POV was such a treat. He's straightforward without being at all dry (actually, he's all the more colorful for what he's willing to say and think that others would try to gloss over), and simple without being at all simple-minded.

‘I know you won’t punish a pilot anyway, so all I’m asking is to make it look impressive. I’ll try not to care. Again.’

I don't know why I find this so funny, but I do, and I can hear Tom Zarek saying it, too. :)

Thanks very much! You always write such interesting comments that make me take another look at my characters.

For me, Brendan mostly is a guy who has no way with words whatsoever. That makes it hard for him to think things through, and to handle labels, but as a result he also takes an unusual POV. On the other hand, he's good with stuff that doesn't require words, like flying. And I bet he's a very talented lover. :)
