Title: Back to Earth
Pairings: Helo/Gaeta, Helo/Sharon. Can be read with the occasional Gaeta/Baltar undertones.
Genre: It's a gen story overall but with some slash and het b-plot. So it's kind of a gen hybrid.
Rating: PG-13 for some sex, PTSD, bad language in the face of danger and, ya know, people killing robots.

Oh, this was great! I loved Sam working with the code! I wish we'd get something like that on the show!

This chapter is very close to what I usually write. However I found that it's awfully hard to write action in English while I had an easier time with the computer code. All the years of dating computer geeks have finally paid off! :D (although I do admit I went and read other fic on that subject to loot idioms... not Neuromancer though, which I never read)

Also, the descriptions of Sam navigating the data stream were totally gripping and fascinating, especially now in the light of him becoming Hybrid!Sam.

Hee. I never noticed that connection before. It amuses me to no end that on the show, too, Gaeta got angry and Helo cheated on his wife, ending up fighting with her. Except in my fic, Gaeta survived and got the pityfrak. Hah.
