I enjoyed reading this again as much as I did the first time. :) I went back and read the original, too, and just this time finally caught that that's Ariadne's cat pouncing on the crumpled-up letters--nice call-back.

I keep meaning to catch up on the rest of your holiday posts, but I'm so far behind on...pretty much everything right now. I *will* get to read them eventually, though!

This is so sweet and just a little melancholy, in all the right ways. I like how Louis calls him on his cowardice, and the moment where he's hinting at her to break protocol is so achy-adorable.
