the book that I agreed with, and one of them is that you should never do exactly 100% the same workout twice. Every single time you go in you should set a new high in reps or weight on an old workout or you should try a new move that you haven't done

That sucks that you had to wait on squat rack. No one uses the squat racks at the UT gym, and I think the ones at 24 hour fitness went unused as well. I will see people using the hack squat machine (at least I think that's what it's called) where the bar-hook is on a track but I rarely see people doing proper squats.
