The article's nothing much, just that Disney's got another screenwriter on for a Legacy sequel--Jesse Wigutow this time. Other tidbits: Joseph Kosinski, who

Awesome. I hope we do get that third movie. With more Alan and more Encom (maybe Dillinger, Jr. will facilitate that).
I want answers on the ISOs and to see how Alan reacts to the digital world and his Tron program.
I'm hoping Clu, at least, remains completely dead. To preserve emotional oomph, I'd prefer Flynn did too, but I can't really see that happening. I love the character of Flynn, don't get me wrong, it's just for emotional weight. And if both are still alive in some fashion then I'm left *really* thinking Flynn should have done something years ago and spared so many programs. Even though Flynn would, realistically, have thought it would be end of him even if it wasn't.
I want to see Roy be the "moral compass" of the story, but that's probably a pipe dream. Really, though, even a one-scene appearance would be lovely. Same for Lora.
I hope Quorra doesn't have to die so that the world isn't actually changed.

So basically the news is that the movie is in "development hell" What else is new?
I hate to say this, but I'm not getting my hopes up. When a movie has gone through so many writers at this point you have to question what's going on over there. I like that it has a renewed purpose over there though :D
Also I'm a little nervous given that Jesse Wigutow wrote Eragon, but that wasn't the greatest of books to begin with so maybe we can blame the source material :D

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've heard "it's an unofficial go" several times. Hedlund is saying he'll be back (no shocker) and hopefully this is really going to happen now.
With 2014 for it to start shooting, does anyone have any idea when we'd start hearing more or get a really official announcement?

I'm assuming based on what I've heard about Tron:Uprising that we have at least another season's worth of episodes and then we'll probably start hearing more about a release date for the movie.
But it's reassuring that Garrett Hedlund is back so I'm a little more hopeful than I was when I wrote my previous comment :D
