Jul 12, 2011 14:44

Again, if there are any Tron 2.0 players who want to add their two bits to the guide for their fellow fans, please weigh in! After this, the only thing left will be to try and sum up Ghost in the Machine, which is easier said than done. After reading it for the third time and going through its entry on the Tron Wiki, I think I can decipher what ( Read more... )

Thanks. I wasn't sure how useful anyone would find them, but the wiki articles are pretty dry and don't give the game's events and personalities much for context. Ditto with You tube snippets that aren't in order. Yes, it's been knocked out of continuity by Legacy, but that doesn't mean it should be forgotten entirely - not when there is an absolute gold mine of concepts that can be used.

The FPS format means a lot of bother for little story, and I'll totally use cheat codes to plow through it because the storyline is all I am interested in.

BTW, nice icon! I am a massive T/Y shipper and have been filling prompts for those two on the kink meme because it's been hard to find anything with Yori in general. (And she's got such wonderful potential...)

Wonderful, thanks! What I found on You Tube wasn't in order, so that will also help immensely.

I hope I'm not stepping on toes here.

I'm starting to think that I should avoid any and all references to TRON 2.0. I can't even read the name without having the irresistible urge to play through the game yet again. It's just SO damn compelling, and a near-perfectly executed game as well. It's probably my single favorite aspect of the TRON franchise, even more than either of the movies. (And I really love the movies!)

I'd be delighted to read fic that further explores this immersive but oft-overlooked facet of this wonderful world!

I'm not an FPS fan, mostly because an old case of tendonitis in both wrists really makes the requisite fast reflexes and button mashing painful. I scored a copy of 2.0 ages ago, but didn't play it until recently.

I spent most of my play-through cracking up laughing and pausing the game every few minutes to jot down notes. It's really too bad The Mouse put the whole thing into Discontinuity once Legacy came out, because there's a shocking amount that is perfectly compatible if you're fusing the timelines. All you have to do is fudge some dates and get Lora out of the fridge while still accounting for Ma3a.

Think about this for a sec - Sam, Jet, and Quorra as one hell of a Power Trio, echoing the Flynn/Bradley/Baines partnership. Datawraiths running loose through Encom and the Grid. F-Con making an attempt on Sam's life to get him out of the way of their takeover. The Terrible Trio in cyberspace making Clu look like a pansy. Dillinger Jr. being a wild card because Dillinger Sr. was implied to be head of F-Con's conspiracy. Jet ( ... )
