I wanted to be Amalthea from "The Last Unicorn" (not that there's any surprise there), and George from the Nancy Drew mysteries (because she had a cool name and seemed like she was more together than Nancy or Bess), and then Victoria from the original Dark Shadows (which ran on Saturday afternoons in my tender years and is probably responsible for my lifelong love of cheese), and although they aren't children's lit, pretty much every Phyllis A. Whitney character I encountered.

And of course, Tilly the Witch. I still want to be Tilly the Witch.
