Well, as someone who's never written ot3+ nor has read much, I'd be really grateful for some advise and/or recs. :D
So is there anything in particular one should watch out for/be sure to do in an ot3+ fic? How do you balance romance between more than two people? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Oh, recs of any fandom would be fantastic!

BEEEEEEEEECAAAAAAAAAAAAAUSSSSSSSE :DDDDDDDDDDDDD it would be so funny lmfao I can just see you sitting there squirming, writing something about Kibum touching Ryeowook and kind of shrieking to yourself about how wrong it is.

This is EXACTLY what I'm worried about, that I'll be utterly biased for only one part of the equation, lol. Guess I'll just have to really watch myself.

if you catch yourself doing it, then it's okay because you can correct yourself. it's not necessarily a bad thing, it's only if you take it too far and one person ends up looking like a gooseberry or something :\

Yeah, the dynamics between three people are definitely a challenge, and probably one of the biggest reasons why ot3 fic isn't more common (longfic, I mean, as opposed to threesome pwp which isn't too difficult to come by).
For me, writing my own fic, I think I'm going to try and focus on giving "moments" to each of the pairs within the group, if that makes sense? Things like shared experiences or feelings between each of the three that will allow the readers to nod their heads and say, 'ah! yes, I see it now, they are mtb!'... and then in the latter part of the fic will come the angst and drama of the three of them trying to be together, dealing with rivalry and jealousy and all that goes with it. :3
Just my personal take on it, but I think it's important to not think of it as three different pairings, but three different people. Imo, there's a difference between writing for instance ShiHan + ShiChul + HanChul and writing ShiHanChul. It's what makes the OT3 so complicated, because it's a whole different kind of dynamic.
