Words will come later. Just know that I'm happy and crying right now. And that I love this so very much.

Why oh why didn't I plan ahead and start writing some of this yesterday while waiting for the last part to update? I could have been rational then. I could have said important things about the story and character arcs and themes and all that literary critic type stuff ( ... )

My throat was tight and my eyes were burning at the end of this. I'm so proud of you! I'm with April, my words will come later. I'm just going to have to soak up the goodness of this before I start trying to fumble my way through a comment.

okay so wow. That ending is just beautiful. After all the action and adventure and the hanging-on-the-edge-of-my-seat, ending with a surprise birthday party in Iowa and the beginnings of reconciliation with Winona was the perfect way to wrap up this amazing, beautiful work of art.

Eli kind of stole my heart at the end of chapter 7.4b, with his last minute save transporting them into deep space, and the bonding ceremony was simply beautiful and also Spock Prime! With his masterminding ways and also not being dead but still having that reminder of how much he lost; how he'll never really be the same after the whole mess with Nero. Plus, I loved the sneaked in nods to the reboot movie too, oh and also, I needed to point out that I loved Jim getting distracted by the science geek in him when he was in imminent danger of getting crushed into a singularity :)

Okay, I dunno. This was perfect and amazing and I know I already said that but I can't even quantify how amazing this story was! Hopefully, I'm making at least some kinda sense; it ( ... )

I love your Southern heart and your amazing feedback. Thank you! This was really touching to read :)

Muscle relaxants? Are you injured? We can swap injury stories, I hurt my TFL and have synovial inflammation in my left hip, ftw!

I have so much to say, and I don't know if I can. I know it sounds unfair, but where do you start with 260K words of sheer brilliance? How can you possibly write a review that will encompass it all, this magnificent effort that started off as the most unusual ST AU I have ever read and transformed into a saga that embodies everything. Seriously, if someone asked me what the story is about, I couldn't tell them. Not in one word, for certain. Sacrifice, duty, loyalty, inspiration, tragedy of war, and the wonder of love that dares blossom in the midst of it, a never-ending adventure, family shadows, personal experiences that are lifechanging -- just a few themes you woven into this tapestry. The shipper in me is always the first to react, and yet, it has to stand second before the magnificence that is EPAS -- the goals, the people, their dedication in the face of staggering blows that fall one after the other ( ... )

*is blown away*

Wow! Thank you! This was glorious to read. Seriously, I'm in pain from an injury and smiling was not high on my agenda, but this had me grinning. Thank you for your feedback throughout the posting progress and for your kind words here. It is much appreciated.

As to your question: I'm not entirely sure it's sunk in yet. I wonder if it might do the next time I open my computer to write and the story file isn't entitled "LNSB." Not exactly sure how that will feel.

I do know that it feels like one of the better things I've written in my life. I hope that others feel the same way and that it continues to be enjoyed by new people who stumble across it in the future.

I can imagine. Stories like this are hard to let go of, they tend to take too much of you with them. Not a bad thing, you have plenty more to give, but it's sort of a weird sensation. :)

I think that new people who stumble upon it will be very happy indeed, very lucky. I almost envy them in the breathtaking discovery they are about to make. The quality of this story is such that it stuns people. This one is going to stay with us, that's for sure. ;)
