I love McGann's delivery in the scene that inspired this vignette. It's just absolutely glorious ... especially the split second where he raises a hand to his face and you find yourself, mouth agape, wondering if Bush is ... omg ... is he crying?

Wow, McGann..... *shakes head* Which episode is it? Or should I try to see them in order? ^_^ Actually saw part of an episode the other day -- the guy playing Hornblower is so YOUNG! Does his apparent age increase as the series goes on?

Oh, really do watch them in order! Ioan Gruffudd is actually a really good Hornblower - just enough arrogance and self-doubt mixed together to make it really work for him, lol.

They tried to make him look really young in the early ones (to great success) but he does "age" as the thing progresses, both in manner and appearance.

If you're having trouble getting hold of them, I can burn them to dvd and post them to you ... just because, you know, everyone should see McGann as Bush!

Oh lordy! This story was fully written when my computer died. I believe I have a backed up copy on an external HD ... now all I need to do is order a new USB cable for it and I can retrieve the +1 for you!

Absolutely love your series, you just write HH and WB so great and they are actually just like in the movies and books it's amazing :D I woud be really happy to see the final part, there is never enough HH fanfic :)

... Aaaaaand my computer crash comes back to bite me, but you know what? You're completely right. I remember enough about the final chapter that I just ought to knuckle down and re-write it.

The thing is, it's so hard to do when you thought the original version was perfect and now it's gone, gone, gone :( My computer catching on fire taught me a poignant lesson about BACKING THINGS UP!.
