I really love your writing, and I always have a little jump of glee when I see you've posted something new. It always feels fresh and thought provoking, and I don't even really like porn, but your porn is genuinely hot.

I know, supposed to be anon ...

Anyway, I love the way your thinky brain thinks, how your fics are also generally about ideas in addition to characters and plot and conflict. How you use fic to think about things. That speaks to me.

Aww. *hugs* I love it when people call me "thinky". :D

Thank you!

I love your writing, I love the way you write women. Also, your love for Sarah Jane is adorable!

Yay, Sarah Jane! Really, I don't write women nearly enough, but I'm glad to know that it works when I do. Thank you, anon.

Your writing has a sort of effortless* quality to it - it flows so easily and you are very skilled at putting images and thoughts and sympathies into my head without me realising you've done it. I also love that you write strong women characters so well.

* Not as in "you didn't put in any effort" - I mean it always feels very natural and not forced.

You are without a doubt one of the most underrated writers in the Torchwood fandom. Not only in content and thoughtful characterization, but the quality of your writing surpasses nearly every other author I've read.

*sniffle* You have no idea how much your comment made me smile. :) And maybe, you know, choke up a little. I tend to see my writing as not really up there with the really good people in fandom, so to know that even one person does feel that way just made my day. Thank you, lovely anon.

Different anon also agrees. I rate your stuff really highly.

Concrit: your writing can meander a bit too much, with details that the reader doesn't need. Also, at times it feels like your characterisation is a little off.

Love the ideas you come up with; your plots are clever and new. And you write diverse stories, and women very well.

Oooh, thank you! Much as it's lovely and incredibly flattering to get people saying how much they like my work, concrit is really what I'm after here.

I see what you mean about meandering, though I'm less sure about how to tackle characterisation problems. If you happen to see this again (or hell, just another anon coming along this way), and you have the time, I'd love to know more specifics about that one (ie, is my Jack too anguished, is my Ianto too wet, etc?) -- I'm always keen to improve, but I need to know what to work on. :)

ETA: I find it really interesting that you enjoy my plots, as I generally see that as my weakest point -- given that at least half of my fics are PWP of one variety or another, and many are also episode tags that round off someone else's plot rather than my own.

I haven't been posting anonymously to these, but I almost did for yours. But oh, well, I shall out myself. I nominated your "Power Play" over at CoT, and I'm usually not all that into the PWP. What I think made yours really good is that it is not about the sex; it's about the give and take, the trust, what makes the relationship tick. They're working through that through sex. And that's why I think it works.

In general, what I like about your writing is that you are not afraid to go back and examine it again. You're always asking questions, working to become a better writer. And not a phallocentric tool. :)

Oh, I was wondering who was responsible for that nomination! Thank you! ♥ You have no idea how happy it made me.

And yeah, generally, when I'm writing sex, I try to make sure that I'm saying something about the characters, rather than just writing it for the smut alone (although there are a few exceptions, such as some of my contributions to the comment!pr0n battles). I'm glad to know that it works for you. :)
