Wow. What a freakishly cool story. So is it safe to say that Jimmy snapped that night. Because of his religious belief that angels were watching over them, Castiel took over as his alpha personality and while in the hospital Lucifer became that personality of reasoning. Jimmy thought of himself as evil because of what he did so he made it an act of Mercy from an angel. Good psychological twist to it all. Very sad too though. Good Job.

Hey, thanks for reviewing. Sorry for the delayed response; I'm finishing up a fic from another challenge. This was such an odd idea that came to me before I found out about the Dystopia challenge. I started thinking about how odd it would be if an angel vessel, such as Jimmy, only thought he was a vessel and then drew upon different sources to inspire the twisted psychological aspects of the story, such as Jeffrey Dahmer and the film Primal Fear. I also threw in philosophical aspects by touching on some of my favorite Christian sources that debate the nature of man and man's relationship to God (if you can believe it, I am an atheist but two of my favorite books would have to be Descartes Meditations and St. Augustine's City of God). Mostly though, I treated this as a challenge where I challenged my own squick factor and wrote themes that I have trouble reading, let alone writing.

Anyway, thanks again for reading this. Your wonderful comments are much appreciated :).

Thanks for reading! :) I think I took the challenge for "dark" a bit too seriously, though xD.
