Wow. That was beautifully written. Powerful and intense. I love the view of Spock Prime through Sarek's eyes, his comparisons between his son and this, his not-son.

While Sarek can look past the faint resemblance this Spock has to his true son, he is well aware that this older man sees only the skull of his own father in Sarek's face.

This totally gave me the shivers!

I love how they each have something the other wants, and it's entirely believable how, in their grief and desperation, they could become addicted to those things despite how wrong it is.

Well done!!

I have the idea that Vulcans feel grief and pain as strongly or more than humans, and it was fun toying with how that would play out in a fic. Especially with this pairing! It's so absolutely screwed-up. I'm really glad you liked the fic, thanks!
