The trista: Is Dad there?

Mom: Yes.

The trista: Would you get him on the phone, please?

Mom: Yeah. Why?

The trista: I have something I need to tell you both.

Mom: Oh...

*voices in the background*

Dad: Hello!

The trista: You're both there now

Hahaha, that is too funny! I tried a similar one once, telling both my parents I was expecting. My parents are on to me though, and didn't believe me so I confessed I was expecting my laptop to arrive any day.

Though, I once arrived at my parents house, glanced at the clock, and said "wow, 13 minutes - that's a record!" Both of them blanched for a minute - I live a good 25 minutes from them. ;)
