When I worked in retail, I used to get cuts all the time from the cardboard boxes, or the straps they used to secure the heavy ones. The worst part is, whatever I cut myself with was invariably dirty, so I was always paranoid I was going to get some exotic infection.
This was in addition to constantly tripping over/bumping into the boxes, so my legs were always black and blue. Between the cuts and the bruises, I looked like Courtney Love on a bender.

How I heart you. :)
Those strappy box holder things? They are a bitch. I'm forever cutting myself on the ones on the copy paper boxes at work, and those bastards cut deep. At least these are clean enough that I can convince myelf that my finger will not fall off as a result of infection. Denial is a beautiful thing.
OMG! DO THEY EVER! When I was working in claims I would get them all the time. When we had the temps file I would be so excited, cause it would mean that I had less chance of getting one. They are like some of the worse pain EVER!
You understand the unique paper-cut dangers of filing claims! It's horrible, isn't it? I always loved it when Vern asked if he could help with anything because I'd always, always ask him to file the gigantic piles of claims for me.
That's the thing about paper-cuts. They hurt so, so much, but there's no sympathy for them. A scrape might not hurt anywhere near as much, but since it's such a visible thing people at least give you a little sympathy. And maybe a Snoopy Band-Aid. ;)
I love your icon, by the way. It's very spring-y. This is my new spring icon, and I heart it.

OW. That must have been horrible. Did you ever get one under your fingernail? That sucks, too.
