It is evidently my LiveJournal job to entertain and relieve boredom. *shriek* I think I can expect a pink slip soon.
So. I've done this before, but it was ages ago.
Let's plan a FriendBot slumber party. I'll host. Tell me what you're going to wear, what we're going to do, and what snacky junk we're going to eat and drink.

So what snacky junk food are we going to eat? What sort of slumber party gamey activity-ish things are we going to play or do or whatever?

I wish I still had my "Mystery Date" game!

As for the Duran Duran, we will repeat any song that any attendee considers a favorite as often as requested, so we'll most likely hear The Chauffeur a gazillion times. Shall we play the albums in chronological order? Also, we will hang up our Duran Duran posters, because what is a slumber party without Duran Duran posters?

I've decided to attend the slumber party wearing:
*purple pajama pants and top, decorated with a design of winged muffins and mice with goggles and a scarf for old-timey flying
*thick green socks
*a tshirt under the pajam top, because I might be cold. No one will see it, but I'll let you in on the secret that the shirt says "sprinkled" in brown letters.
We will talk about pies that should exist and maybe playing the card game Fluxx. We will also listen as you sing about people you know at work.
We will eat spicy peanuts, red pepper hummus with pita bits, bagel chips, and cookies (chocolate and carmel chip).
To drink, we will probably have hot tea for me, water, soda, and some kind of wine.

Hummus! What is a sleepover without hummus?
You so don't want to hear me sing, but I will tell you stories about Vern and about the former wrestler, who, unlike Vern, is a cool guy. I'll tell you stories about my time at Wendy's, too. They're usually good for a laugh.
Tell me about Fluxx? I don't think I know it.
Also? We could talk for hours about the pies. Oh yes.

We play it all the time and we recently got more Looney Labs (http://www.looneylabs.com/) games, which also totally rock. My favorite new one we have it the card game Aquarius (http://wunderland.com/LooneyLabs/Aquarius/Default.html).
Todd has joined the Looney Labs cult or something. It has an active online community.
Well, I haven't really said much about Fluxx. It's a game where the goal (way you win) can change at any moment and so can the rules. It's awesome.
Re the party: I'm betting that even if you're unsure of your singing skills, you'll be in such good humor that you won't be able to resist singing a few stories to us all. We will be enraptured.

Have you played Skip Bo or Phase 10? They're card games that in my mind go into the same category as Uno, and they are fantabulous. They're fun family-type games, but also fun with a group of friends.
The singing thing? It's not that I'm unsure of my singing skills. I'm very sure that I have none. My voice, when combined with a microphone, is a weapon of mass destruction. However, I will be happy to write the songs and have someone else sing them to you all. ;)

I shall bring body markers and nail polishes and such, and we shall become merry heathen.
And we shall consume the flesh and blood of snacks and cakes, and LO SHALL WE BECOME MIGHTY.
