Hanging behind my desk I have a rather lovely Emily the Strange calendar. It's there because it's pretty, and because I occasionally need to check things like what the date will be two weeks from Tuesday ( Read more... )

Certainly "I'll check my diary" is still what I instinctively say, even though my "diary" is almost always in my PDA, which is in turn always in my jacket pocket. Then again, I do tend to mislay my jacket a lot...

Well I've always, even before I used the internet, thought it odd to have calendars that had what people were doing written on them.

Maybe I was just born ready for the internet age... :)

calendars are great - decorative and useful. i've had one hanging next to my desk here at home for several years now (not rhe same one, i hasten to point out). was very tempted by Emily tS this year, but opted for pictures of pretty nebulae instead.

We have a calendar on the web that we can both put things in - mainly because we are both usually more likely to be near a computer than near a diary, and that way we can both check that a plan is not going to interfere with other plans already made without the hassle of trying to copy stuff from one paper diary into another...
And I thought I wasn't very geeky... :$
