Jessica Reilly was born with a little something extra. Psychic abilities run in her family, along with eccentricity. Jessica is a clairvoyant with clairsentient abilities, capable of sensing emotions in the people around her.
She’s a natural witch, able to harness earth energy to cast spells -- if she were able to focus. Jessica hasn’t quite mastered the art of spell-casting -- yet.
Although she’s far from perfect, positive vibes are plentiful around this quirky character. She means well and has a heart of gold she isn't ashamed to wear on her sleeve.
As for Jessica’s day-to-day life, she’s held a job with an ad agency, Imagination Unlimited, for the past five years and has a terrible crush on her boss, the moody, brooding perfectionist Chris Foley.
Jessica started working for the agency as a receptionist and eventually as personal assistant to the company's founder and president, Paul Foley, Chris' dad, who died of a heart attack a year ago. Now, Chris has taken the reigns of the company. While his father treasured Jessica as a personal assistant, Chris isn't as enthused with her animated quirkiness.
Oh -- and the other obstacle in the way of Chris affections is blonde, stands about 5'9" tall and is named Suzanne, Chris Foley's on-and-off girlfriend for the past three years. If only a good love spell would make him look her way…other than to give her his lunch order and dry cleaning.
Jessica’s roommate and best friend is a black cat named Triskaidekaphobia (her “Trisket”). She's still best friends with her childhood friend, the wild and devil-may-care wannabe witch Kelly Murphy and has made friends with a hairstylist who works with her mother, Angelique who is as friendly, upbeat and quirky as Jessica.

He father, the eccentric Joseph Reilly is obsessed with the paranormal and evidence of life on other planets. His day job is as a supermarket manager at The One-Stop Shop! Inc., a company's he's worked for since adolescence as a stock boy
He dresses all in black and has a tendency to talk to himself (which he calls thinking out loud) as well as breaking into song and dance at the strangest moments.
Her mother, the fiery, quick tempered and stubborn Maureen (McLaughlin) Reilly is the polar opposite of Jessica’s eccentric and laid-back dad. She could be very critical of Jessica and her sister as well as her dad. She’s frustrated with Jessica’s lack of focus (as far as her spell-casting abilities are concerned as well as life in general) and her younger daughter's negativity and pessimsm.
She’s worked as a hairdresser her entire life, working at a few different salons. She now manages a salon called the Cutting Edge. Maureen is a witch and is precognizant (premonitions).
Jessica’s sister, the dark, brooding and deep Jennifer has always had a problem fitting in with others. She’s the polar opposite of her warm, friendly and out-going sister. Jennifer is not trusting and overly critical of those around her. She goes from relationship to relationship, always finding an excuse not to commit to someone.
Psychically, she’s a medium and a retrocognizant, able to sense vibrations of the past, impressions left in places by events and the people who lived there. She works as a receptionist and file clerk for a newspaper.
Jessica's boyfriend, the laid-back, sensitive and artistic Keith Kruger, works as a web designer and graphic artist for a web design and marketing firm, Xposure. Keith longs to do something more creative, but lacks ambition to do so. He never finishes anything he starts.
Moody perfectionist Chris Foley is currently Jessica’s boss as well as object of her desire. Tall, finely chiseled and athletic, Chris is a perfect package on the outside but dark, brooding and cold on the inside.
He expects nothing less than perfection from himself as well as everyone else around him.
Picturesque and adventurous Suzanne Morgan meets Christopher's high ideals as far as women are concerned. Statuesque Suzanne could be a model if she wanted and she knows it. She likes being independent and free and isn't looking for lifelong commitment, which also makes her desirable to Chris who sometimes has a tendency to be a loner socially.

Psychic abilities in Jessica's family go back to her maternal great-grandmother, Maggie, who was a psychic medium.
Their grandaunt Ann was a medium and did readings for people.
Both of Ann’s children had abilities - one was precognizant and the other retrocognizant
Her grandmother, Veronica, held séances and read Tarot.
Her mother also held séances, did readings for friends and also got involved with witchcraft.
Jessica's Uncle Tim (Mom's bro) is retrocognizant like her sister, Jennifer, able to read impressions left on locations by past events and the people who lived there.
