No, really, I AM a fanartist!!

It has occurred to me that some of my LJ friends are pretty much just taking my word for it when I say that I do fanart, because I don't have any posted here at all! In an attempt to rectify that, I hereby post the following link, which should take interested parties to a wee gallery containing a random smattering of my work:

Nifty! And good luck with retrieving your artwork from the buggy site.

Thanks, Brat! I really won't know what the damage is until I make the rounds of the two or three Photobucket accounts that I also have, to see what's there...which I'm not feeling up to just yet. I'm kinda hoping that if I give it a little time, the bug alerts at ImageCave will disappear, and my stuff will become accessible again...so I'm putting the whole thing out of my mind for a while. And whistling a happy tune, for good measure!

I especially love the patches, they're stunning!
And you know: first rule: NEVER, NEVER delete your files unless you've got them on the Internet, saved on a disc somewhere and best of all, got them on multiple computers and external harddrvies!!!! I learned that rule early on and now never delete anything. To keep the psd files is also good because I can return to a pic and use an image i had there again in something new...or check how I did something awesome I totally forgot ;) ;)

All very sage advice--when did you get so wise, my dear?! ;P

Unfortunately, the main reason I've been moving stuff to the internet (aside from hosting it for links) is because our comp's harddrive is pretty close to full capacity. Whenever I start a new project, there tends to be a lot of downloading of large pic files...and that's when I start getting notices that I'm running out of "virtual memory"! It's just about at the point now where I need to delete a couple of megs before I even start a new piece, just to keep the comp running...and that's AFTER having already deleted the pics that I moved online. Burning backups would indeed be the safe thing to do...I wonder if I remember how?? =P

Oops! Where are my manners?! Thank you so much for the kind words for my patches, Yeo! I had oodles of fun making them, and I'm very pleased with how realistic they turned out. ^^

oops, totally forgot to reply ;) Hope you'll forgive me.
The patches are really wonderful!

I know how difficult it is to not cram the harddrive too much ;) But once in a while, I burn all psd files to a CD or DVD even so that I can delete them on the HD but have them at hand if I should need them again (which does happen often enough to justify the means *g*) Of course, it's a bit difficult to keep track of where a particular pic is but it still works...

oh, now I feel in the mood to dive into PS and do something...maybe something for my fanfic :D (have I posted those I made at Yadahood?? Gotta check...)
