I know that lot of parents have very divided opinions about childhood vaccines that are required by law. I've read of possible links between vaccines and autism. Opinions vary widely on that particular subject. I had no problem making sure My son was inoculated when he was a child. If I had a daughter, I'd have her vaccinated. Plain and simple. Abstinence education is all well and good ... and I believe it has its place as *part* of human sexuality education, along with information about contraception and the like. However, all of the abstinence education and chastity pledges in the world do not prevent rape. I would rather have a child vaccinated against a preventable disease (HPV) and safeguarded against certain cancers as a result than to avoid it out of some misguided sense that ignorance will prevent anything untoward from occurring.

I agree with you. I'd probably have my daughter vaccinated if I had a daughter. My only concern would be to make sure the vaccine had been tested properly and there were no side effects. I've read complaints about old vaccines having mercury in them. I don't want something like that for my children. It's not safe.
