Three chapters to read with breakfast!!!

Nice way of threading in the 'you're weak' theme that comes out of Sam a little later in the show--seeing it germinate from watching Dean suffer makes it seem less cruel and more in character.

I still can't get over how vividly you write this illness and treatment! Did you do a lot of research on it?

On seeing it germinate - thank you. I do believe that Sam, even with the anger, arrogance, and condescension that pour out of him during this season, there had to be some kind of rationalization he was giving himself. Being able to comfortably rationalize your behavior is a key to addiction.

I'm glad it is coming through vividly! I did some research. Mostly I'm just a giant nerd. (No, seriously) :)

I have to say, I'm LOVING how quick the updates for this are coming. It's like a little present every day. ;D

All the medical talk sounds so real - fantastic job with it! Did you do much research? And PTSD being the binding factor works so well. Oh, Dean. ;( And oh, Sam - I'm really getting insight into his s4 characterization reading this, so thanks for that!

I did do some research, had to fact check a lot of things I thought I had knowledge of already. Which worked out some of the time, but was so glad I looked up because other stuff I had wrong.

I'm happy the plot's connective tissue is working out for you. Super thrilled you're seeing insight into Sam. I'm definitely more of a Dean-Girl, so diving into Sam's head has been an enlightening experience.

Yeah, your Sam is AWESOME. I love Sam, but I must say, most of my love for him as far as s4 goes comes out of reading good fics that explain his characterization/get in in his headspace that season rather than from the show itself.

Three new chapters! I'm really loving the speedy updates. :)

Poor Dean! But maybe he can distract himself by playing matchmaker?

Dude would definitely need the distraction. Hospitals are booooring. Dean would be begging Sam, "Leave your laptop, and turn off that prissy SafeSearch crap on Google."

"Are you serious, Dean? You're in the friggin' hospital!"

"Exactly, Sammy. I'm unwell. I did a dose of Vitamin Double-Ds."

OH... not good... Dean has his back up now - no way is he going to look after himself. Sam'll be lucky if Dean doesn't sign himself out AMA... and I totally agree that Dean would know exactly (well not the drinking blood part) what was going through Sam's head....

Yeah. Dean's reaction to learning precisely why Cole is going after him is up ahead. (will be posted for tomorrow - along with a couple other of my fave scenes to write in this thing)

And Dean definitely knows something is up with Sam, he just isn't sure what or what to do about it. They both just kinda stew in anger for a lot of S4.

Commenting on the last few chapters here, I'm such a sick person that I adore all the Dean puking. I also loved Sam falling asleep draped over Dean's bed. <3 And the case is getting very interesting.
