I will be going, very soon, completely friends-only. an option to mass-lock all entries. I think...

I seem to have that option anyway, despite the fact that my paid status ran out ages ago... but I'm nervous to try it because I'm afraid it'll turn every single entry to just plain friends-only, overriding any filters. Besides, going back through these is a good way to make me tag them properly. Tags make life easier.

I had to lock up my journal too and going back through four years of entries was a real pain... unfortuanately it also reminded me of a few periods of my life which were hard to read about. I miss the public access now (though I totally can't be that open, as I found out) because I used to have a lot of readers that can never find me now, but as you said, the internet is a little creepy. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

Exactly. I've never been officially stalked, but there've been more times than I'd like when someone was able to get a little too close for my comfort, even if it was only figuratively. I don't doubt that that line could be crossed, and I don't plan to make it any easier for anyone to cross it.
