woops, forgot the lj-cut tag this time. Spaced it; um, no pun intended. I'm usually pretty punchy and underslept when I can spin out this particular sort of thread, known to some of us generally as "Immel-itis", after a friend who would often hear things that sounded a lot like what we had said, but with wildly different words and meanings.
