Eva and Jordan's Wedding - Aftermath and Reception [Post Boss Battle]

May 05, 2008 00:35

Jordan stood and stared at the wreckage that had been wrought by the terrible battle. Rubble and debris littered the aisle, shards of stained glass were scattered about, gouges were ripped from the columns and stonework. Everything was one huge mess. But it could have been a lot worse ( Read more... )

The Doctor smiled at Jordan, giving a nod to acknowledge the thanks. Then he sighed and looked around the ruined cathedral, frowning almost comically.

"Why is it," he said lightly, "That whenever I wear this suit I end up helping to ruin a national monument?"

Maraich was leaning through one of the shattered windows from outside to see what was happening. His hands were balancing him, placed on either side of the window, while he had one leg kneeling on the sturdy window sill. It appeared his other leg was still stretched behind him outside.

The position was a bit awkward since he was only looking in to perceive the situation.

Genki turned in Jordan's direction, a "heh, awww shucks" look on his face as he rubbed a finger under his nose, replying with an sheepishly embarrassed grin "It was no problem"

"No problem, Golden Boy!" Haruko grinned and flashed a thumb's up sign. Her costume was somewhat worse for wear, with holes in the leggings and the rabbit ears drooping and tattered, but she was otherwise unscathed. "Hey, am I gonna get paid extra for this?"

Jordan smiled awkwardly at Ten's comment. "I guess you just have the same brand of bad luck I do ( ... )

Kyo smirked slightly, glad that it was all over. Now they wouldn't have to worry about the others possibly being in danger, especially... "Yuki..." He knew what he had to do. It was now or never, right? Well, he'd worry about it more once he got home. For now...there was a wedding to attend.

Straightening his jacket, the Kusanagi heir stretched out one hand, grinning as it was on fire, only to clench it and snuff out the flame. "Heh...that old bird never stood a chance." He was still in slight pain from the earlier blastings, but it was safe to say that he had experienced a hell of a lot worse. At least he had remembered to wear his fireproof jacket instead of his regular clothing.

"Right, then...let's get this show on the road!"

"FINALLY!!"

In a sudden blur of fabric, Haruko's tattered bunny girl costume was replaced by a ridiculously over-the-top Elvis costume, complete with glittery rhinestones and tacky fringe. She pounded out one of The King's riffs on her guitar.

"LET'S SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL!"

The Doctor jogged out of the ruined church still sporting a grin, heading towards the TARDIS. He hoped it wasn't too cramped - he wasn't entirely sure how many people Rick had taken to fit in there.

He slipped his key into the Yale lock and turned, opening the door carefully and sticking his head in. "Hi everyone! Good news, the panic is over. Are we all alright in here?"

There were about fifty people crammed inside, many of them either holding the hands of small children, or offering their shoulders as support to the elderly. A few people nodded absently at the Doctor's question and murmured in the affirmative. It seemed most of their panic had given way to amazed curiosity as they surveyed the inside of the TARDIS. Some children pointed upward at the strange architecture while asking their parents questions.

Rick put a hand on his hip and sauntered over. He held the key out to Ten.

"So," Rick said. "What's going on out there with Jordan and Eva?"

"Well, it's about time" Sawyer muttered, glancing at the Doctor from where he leant against a wall, arms folded across his chest. Maybe now he could get a beer or two.

Seeing as I'm going on hiatus, can it be assumed that Aang joined in the festivities with much energy and happiness for the newlyweds and their victory?
