The TMobile website says 'suggested retail' is indeed $399.99. =) There is also sidekick.com, but when you click 'buy now' it only takes you to tmobile.com lol.
I have T-Mobile. I can do that for you, the only thing is that they'll most likely have the same price in-store that they'll have online. And, without purchasing the plan, the prices are usually a bit more. But I'll check the next time I'm at the mall (which will be very soon).
