Just wanted to give an update that I am currently in Hong Kong and will be here until next Monday. My dad is very ill out here, so I got a ticket about 24 hours ahead of time and came out Wednesday night. He was in ICU, but during the time it took me to fly out he was transferred and at least can somewhat communicate now. I am thinking that I will

Hong Kong is a beautiful city, but quite expensive. You need to see the city view at night though. There is a couple miles of boardwalk along the water with a majestic view of the city. I remember there was a band playing along the boardwalk too. I don't remember the name of the boardwalk, unfortunately. I think it may be the Avenue of Stars along Victoria Harbour.

He fractured his ankle in a small town in the mainland, and the hospital he went to was not able to treat it as they should have. Thus, it went septic and the infection spread to his blood and his kidneys. He also has a lung infection... I am going to go to the hospital this morning to speak with a doctor, as it has been a bear trying to get his doctor to call me. Thus, it is time to take it upon myself to force some information by showing up!

Hong Kong is indeed quite beautiful, and actually I have been pleasantly surprised by how much more affordable it is than Boston. I guess it is all relative though, haha. But I have been able to really make each American dollar go very far.

That boardwalk sounds awesome--thanks so much for the suggestion--it is the most attractive and pleasant sounding one that I have had! I will definitely do some research to find out exactly what/where it is and head over there tonight. It sounds like just what I need right now, actually :-)

Ha, I just looked up how to get their by metro so I can go straight from the hospital, and it turns out that it is seriously one stop down from the hospital, and on the same line that my apartment is on (red) :-)

Haha, it is a great name. Though I tend to call him Scotter, because his spirit animal is an otter ;-)
