...I'm not quite sure where to start. This was brilliant XD

I particularly enjoyed Yamato in this - he's amused and quirky and all-knowing and entirely a Seigaku captain. Also, signing Tezuka up for gym! I think only Yamato could get away with that.

My favourite line(s):
"Buchou," Tezuka says, and it's fierce and loaded the way Echizen sometimes says it to him. An effect of this strange tradition of Seigaku's pillars he thinks until Fuji shoots him a curious glance. Oishi doesn't take his eyes off Yamato, who smiles lazily.

"I'd tell you to do your best, but it's silly to tell the sun to please rise in the east."

Thanks! I was worried about writing Yamato; I'd given his character no thought whatsoever before I got the assignment. So naturally I dove immediately into writing the fic and had to stop halfway through to re-watch the Yamato episode. *g*

This was a beautiful fic. Wow. Not only did you make the threesome work in a totally believable way, but in a touching and romantic sort of way, too. I want to sit here dissecting every line to tell you what I loved about them but that would end up longer than the fic itself, so I'll have to be a bit more broad.

To sum it up, then, the characterization was spot-on, your Tezuka voice was so, so strong and believable, and all the little details - Momo and Kaidoh not fighting as much anymore, Inui and Kaidoh by the river, Nanjiroh starting the pillar tradition (HA), Karupin loving Tezuka - they just brought great big smiles to my face that I couldn't shake.

And I just must add that this: "Not as much." Yamato kisses him again, lightly, leans close, whispers. "I wasn't in love with my captain." was so romantic in an unexpected, lovely sort of way, and it just made my heart warm.

Thanks so much! I was much relieved to hear the characterization worked. I've only published one PoT fic but with Tezuka and Echizen I have loads of unfinished fic in which to practice their voices. I had no clue about Yamato going in. None. Apparently I see him as a bit of a practical romantic.

I heart Nanjiroh. He needs more lines. And more porn.

Ahhh this was amazing. Like I'm not even a big fan of TezuRyo or Yamato, but this killed.

They head down to the water and Echizen has bogarted Tezuka's hand and shows no sign of returning it.

Just one of the many things I enjoyed about this fic. I could quote so much more. Great great job!!
