Randomosity

You know, I hardly ever use this journal for personal stuff, but I'm in that kind of mood and am too lazy to switch to the personal journal that no one reads anyway. So.

Trinity's Big List of Adjectives She Is Using To Describe Herself Latelypissed off ( Read more... )

everything sucks, so over it, random stuff

Grad school - just say no, people.

I don't think I'll have a hard time saying no, seeing how I spend considerable amounts of energy trying to convince my high school friends to not go to college!

I keep having freaky dreams about Lee Adama and the Pegasus being turned into a shopping mall

That sounds... kinda awesome actually! Are there noodles in this mall I wonder...?

I came here following the trail of Lee/Kara story bread crumbs but just had to comment after reading this post. I too am working as a substitute to pay my way through my insane second bachelors and I have found schools to be hotbeds for gossip-some to an insane level. I'm evil though-I revel in causing chaos: kids love to hear the dirt about the "real world", the teachers come back and wonder where all their candy went and why the class is suddenly hyperactive. You have some reall brass ones to want to teach middle schoolers though...good luck-and don't give them candy!

My dear, I just followed a Harry/Ginny story to your LJ and started reading. I have to join you on the teaching rant. I've run away from teaching 7-12 English and substituting, and have been teaching Adult Basic Education for a private non-profit for the past 6+ years. Many of my current students are still teens, but at least the daily bullshit is more manageable. I miss my junior-high kids, though! :( Out of curiosity, what subject do you teach?

Heh, it's all good. I'll be licensed to teach secondary english and history, and I'm actually debating going for the history cert at all, but in a lot of schools in my area, middle school teachers still teach two subjects, so I'll probably wind up doing it. I'm hoping to get my endorsement in drama, too, because that's what I really want to teach. :)
