Without a doubt, our 2012 May Movie is going to be The Avengers. (Warning: following that link to the IMDB, of all places, may potentially spoil you for...something. The internet is still debating what it might mean. If you care, you can read this post to find out what the spoiler even is, since I assume most of you wouldn't know you were spoiled ( Read more... )

HELL TO THE YES! I would not even be uncomfortable sitting next to you during Thor (which I actually haven't seen yet).

I am crossing my fingers that this is the first May Movie I will actually make it to. I don't have any travel plans in May yet...

I hope you can. It's really easy: it's the first Friday in May, which, next year, is the 4th. But dates change or are forgotten, so just remember the first Friday.

Thor (and Thor, actually) is undeniably charming, if a little rushed at times. Totally worth your time.

That's what I've heard; I just don't get to that many movies in the theatre (I know, I'm weird) and X-Men and Captain America were higher priorities. So I'll look forward to seeing it on DVD.

HELL YES.

Plus, you have thought about this way too much.

What, just because I know the order in which these movies must ostensibly operate?!? THAT IS TOTALLY NORMAL.

Kidding. You're totally right.

I want to express both great interest and uncertainty about events eight months hence, so I'll say "FUCK YES" instead of "HELL TO THE YES" and hope the differences are noted.

Tho I might pass on Thor; I'm not sure it deserves a second viewing. (The man-boobs do little for me.)

Well, I know you've seen Iron Man and the sequel and Captain America, but The Incredible Hulk would be worth your time. It's not any great shakes, but it does the material a solid, I'd say.

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

...what?

This is where I could really use feiran's icon "SUPER DORKS UNITE." Because I squealed aloud in the theater when we saw Captain America and they had the post-credits trailer for The Avengers with the oh-so-incredibly cheesy "SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED" tagline. I also may have taken a picture of the promo poster and giggled to myself like a madwoman.

But it's good to know you'd be interested :)

I neither squealed nor giggled. I was content to chuckle knowingly and self-importantly.

If we can get the scheduling to work out, hell yeah! Count me in and get me a bib.

Bibs! I should get several for myself, for the drooling, and make sure I have clean underpants...many pairs.
