Maybe because this year seems to have raced past unnoticed?

I'm at least interested in all three of those movies (though "looking forward to them" might be pushing it--I have some reservations still), but not for all the reasons you are. :)

We watched the Walking Dead premiere. I thought it was well-done and creepy but slow. I'm not sure I'd bother to watch it again if jendaby hadn't already said she wanted to see the rest.

Thor, I admit, is looking more and more like it could be a disaster. It will, at least, have some hotness to it, which is why I'm still all set to see it. But Green Lantern hasn't looked horrible nor has Captain America. On a less shallow note, I think both Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans are both underrated as serious actors. Ryan Reynolds always had potential, but Chris Evans was the one to really surprise me. (He was great in Sunshine, if you've not seen it.) I think they'll really surprise people in the roles, if the movies are done right.

Also, they're hot. I'm totally there times a thousand.

The Walking Dead is slow, I grant you. I think it will pick up, but not overly, you know? Like, more shit will be going down, but there won't be Resident Evil-levels of running around and surprise zombie attacks, etc.

Actually, I agree that Chris Evans is underrated. He was surprisingly good in Cellular. And he was fun in both the Losers and the Fantastic Four.

Ryan Reynolds I've never been a fan of, but we'll see.

With Thor it's more the direction that concerns me. I'm still not convinced we're not going to get another Ang Lee's Hulk.

I'm trying to reserve judgment. I do want to see all three, I just plan on keeping my expectations low. :)

I know Walking Dead is supposed to be slow, and it definitely works for the horror aspect. It's just tough, because it's got to be fast enough and engaging enough to keep people coming back week after week.
