SPOILERS (for a show no one even cares about)

Nov 04, 2009 15:29

I found out a while ago who the mystery person being killed off on Heroes would be, but the internet at large has finally, and without spoiler tags, confirmed it all over the place. Just in case, I'll use the spoiler cut...

And the winner is: ( I say 'winner' because, let's face it, any excuse to get off this show is a good one. )

pink raygun, heroes

I'm mad. I don't even watch this show, and I'm mad. I want to believe that Heroes is trying to be all sneaky and let this leak on purpose to hide who really dies, but man, Heroes people have not been clever for such a long, long time.

I wonder how long this show is going to last. Quinto really, REALLY, needs to jump ship.

I think one blog put it best when it said that Quinto was ready to gnaw his own arms off to get off this show. I don't think they're wrong. Short of not showing up--and thus entirely not fulfilling his contract--he's doing his best to sabotage himself and the show as is. It's time to get him the hell out of there. Sheesh.

I've been praying for this to happen. And I hope that Adrian gets a new awesome show that showcases his awesomeness. (Palindrome-like sentence was on purpose.)

While I totally agree with you about his needing a better part somewhere else, I still feel so gross about how he got canned, I'm kind of pissed off still. But yes, we all wish Adrian Pasdar the very best for now and all time.

And if they wanted to bring back Profit, I wouldn't say no!

Haha I just recently started watching through Heroes with a friend. We're currently just a handful of episodes in, but I love it so far and I'm not going to read the spoilers. I keep running away when I see the commercials for whatever season is just starting to air. =)

I'm so tempted to return to season one and enjoy that sense of wonder I had when I was watching it. It started slow and just really took off as the season went on. Since then, however, they've just kept trying to re-invent the wheel without reinventing anything else useful. Plot lines have been repeated with slightly different players--but only very slightly ( ... )

That's too bad. Speaking of superhero stuff, have you seen any of the Marvel and DC straight to DVD animated films? The Invincible Iron Man, Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2, Superman: Doomsday, Dr. Strange, The Hulk vs. Wolverine/The Hulk vs. Thor, Wonder Woman, etc. I'm happy to say they're all quite good or at least enjoyable. And it's great that they've had so much success because they can keep building onto the already impressive video library.

Ray Park? Awesome! (back to Heroes again) See, my problem is I'm a completionist -- once I start watching a show I enjoy, I want to see the entire thing, no matter how it might sag in the middle. Sigh.

I have seen only a few of the direct-to-video things. I saw the Green Lantern animated movie most recently. It was sort of predictable--it was a movie-length version of the Green Lantern episode of the Superman animated series--but it wasn't terrible. My roommate has not had good things to say about the other ones, and I've deferred to his superior knowledge on these things. As for the Marvel ones, I just haven't heard anything great about them, so they weren't on my radar. I'll check 'em out.

Welcome to my life. Here I am, nine years later, still watching Smallville. About the only series I ever stopped completely with and never went back to was post-first-movie The X-Files. It had become a different show, in my defense, but yeah, I finish everything, even things that hurt me. (Damn you, Battlestar!)
