And for your number five, I'd like to set Leoben up against River. Just because Leoben is so completely crazy he's brilliant, and River is much the same.

Mmm, dunno about that. Leoben is much more in control than River is. That's why I like him as an opposite for Saffron, just as I like him as an opposite for Starbuck. They're neither of them easily wilted or fooled women, and neither of them would put up with his schtick. Can't you just see Yo-Saff-Bridge rolling her eyes while Leoben starts in with his "Swims in the stream" stuff?

Ooh, I want to write this now. I also want to write Resistance!Starbuck meeting up with Leoben, but I've been kicking that around for a while.

I'm still hesitant to write BSG stuff because...gah, how could it ever be as intense as the show?

I have faith in your writing! (I.E. I really, really want to read it!) ;) I think Resistance!Starbuck meeting up with Leoben would be fantastic.

And for Leoben/River, I think I meant to get at more that he's so used to using words to play with people, and River's ability (if it would work on Cylons) to get inside his brain and see his meaning rather than his maze of words could be lots of fun. So would Saffron's though. :-D

And your mention of River makes me want to pair her off against D'Anna Biers, aka #3. I think River versus #3 with her plotting would be veeeeeeery interesting.
