Faith on your feet!

Whirlwind couple of days here, folks. dizzyditz visited from Berkeley, which was fantastic, as I haven't seen her in over a year. (*boggles* How is that even possible?) She looked great, and it was terrific getting to meet her BF and give them a somewhat spastic tour of Dublin.

A trio of goofy photos )

You know, the previous Wilde photos didn't convincingly convey the PINK AND GREEN smoking jacket. I understand the horror more fully now.

And the Christ Church statues are indeed terrifying. I think it's the creepy blind bulging eyeballs. They look like Carolingian zombies.

That's a gorgeous cover.

PS When do you leave Ireland? Because you're only on a JYA, right?

PINK AND GREEN. Plus, when you're standing, you know, on the ground, the only possible view is RIGHT UP HIS CROTCH.

The Charleses noses are totally crumbling (rotting?) away, too. *loves it*

And re: your other question, yes, I'm only here for one year, although it's actually my senior year and not my junior one. I leave in early June--don't have the exact date yet, 'cause they're being coy about the exam schedules. *scowl*

Why? Might you be coming over here? *hopes*

Oh, extra bonus goodness. COME TO IRELAND AND SEE WILDE'S CROTCH! Kind of like when he was still alive, really.

Rotting noses? Bonus extra zombie-ism. I bet the Doctor got them with a petrification ray, or something, and before that they were *real* Carolingian zombies. Yes.

Why? Might you be coming over here?

Well, I had been speculating... I've never been to Ireland, and when I admitted it, siriaeve and jarsy both told me I had to go. Plus then I looked up flights, and Dublin was really quite cheap. But I still have to apply for my passport (ARGH) and such. It is a nascent plan. I need to sort out my crazy, crazy schedule for the next few months...

That cover is so brilliant all I can do is just say, "DAMN!" of course your story did that too, so you know, it's all very fitting. ;)

Wow, the jacket is giving me some really horrible flashbacks. I'm now making it my life's ambition to go there in the dead of night and repaint the jacket something more suitable to Oscar's dignity. Say, any other colour combination in the world, ever.

Those are also the best socks ever. I am jealous.

Still haven't gotten round to reading DADT, Damyata, Dayadhvam, but will as soon as I'm in the position to feedback. Because I always tend to gush at your writing, and I'm sure this will be no different.

The cover conveys the story's feel very well. You should totally steal slodwick for your original novel! :D
