Both Winchesters stop and turn to stare at Castiel. For a moment, he looks excessively pleased with himself;

It took me at least five minutes to stop giggling at that. This story is brilliant and hilarious and totally the best way to celebrate the 4th of July ever.

OMG this makes me seriously disappointed in the fact that I'm not American. Now if my national holiday went like this... and seriously, this was seriously smoking hot. I think the temperature raised some ten degrees or so, not that I complain. ;) You write them just so well and Castiel-without-restraint has to be one of the best things ever happened. Also, I loved how you wrote Dean's complete smugness, not that he isn't allowed (and the whole flag thing = HOT). And the whole prose in the sex scene was something wonderful. *is in awe* And also,

Dean claps his hands together. “Pie will always be a traditional part of celebrating Dean Winchester Day.”

“Dean Winchester Day?” Sam is indignant-he helped saved the world too, dammit, and even managed to hold onto his underwear in the process.

Dean shrugs. “The name’s negotiable. The pie isn’t.”

“What about the sex?” Castiel whispers, pressing close to him.

“That,” Dean declares, “is the most sacred and important aspect of Dean Winchester Day. I hope Chuck’s really clear on that part.” ( ... )

This was perfect! Sexy, humorous and pie! Poor Sam. But at least he gets some pie, too!

YAY MY FAULT MY FAULT MY FAULT! Ahem.

This is... wow. It's hot and beautiful and despite the fact that I was just being crazy when I suggested Dean and the flag, it's got so much in it--Dean winning and being happy, and Castiel being that weird hybrid of supernatural being and human being, and fhaergh, did I mention hot?

I don't know what my deal is: I always end up latching onto people's "just kidding!" prompts (which is how I ended up writing Avril Lavigne RPF once). But I had a lot of fun with this. This was so good I don't even know how to describe it. Castiel was so perfect and I love fics where Cas is like we so need to do it now because he's so composed and seeing that is hot. The banter between the Winchester boys was so spot on. I just loved every bit of this and it's so nice to see a fic that could be crack-y just be like completely awesome.
