Summary: How does Kurenai Maya keep her mate, Fujimori Takeshi under her thumb so well?
Kurenai Maya was known as a Fangire Princess, a little fireball who had beauty, poise, charm and charisma to spare. She was every bit her father’s daughter, even mirroring him in looks. She was very capable of using her charm to get whatever she wanted out of just about anyone she wanted and she often did, much to the chagrin of her twin sister, Kurenai Mio.
Because of that, it came as a surprise to everyone who knew her when Maya announced her engagement to the Wolfen Crown Prince, Fujimori Takeshi. Many people thought that Maya was the last person on earth who would ever even consider marriage.
But as much as Maya was a spitfire, she too craved the love and devotion of a man the way many women did. So when she set her sights on Takeshi, she was determined to have him.
Fortunately for Maya, Takeshi did not put up much of a fight. Before long, with a bit of luck and a good use of her skills, Maya had snared her prize… the love of a Wolfen man. She’d heard her sisters gush about Takeshi’s brothers, Mitsuhide and Tatsuya and after a short time with Takeshi, she understood perfectly what they meant.
However, Maya’s little habits to get what she wanted took a toll on their relationship as it was starting to get off the ground. Takeshi didn’t like it when other men flirted with Maya, feeling protective of what was his.
This would not do for Maya, so she decided to fix it.
One warm spring afternoon, Maya sauntered into the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, holding a package from a Nintendo store. “Takeshi… I have something for you.” She sang, her voice like an angel’s. “Come and get it.”
Like a moth to a flame, Takeshi came. He spotted the bag in her hand and made a beeline for it, only for Maya to push him onto the couch and sit in his lap.
“Takeshi, my love…” Maya purred. “This present for you is a gift. But see, it’s a gift I will give you only if you promise to stop getting so protective of me. I can take care of myself. You know that don’t you?”
Takeshi simply nodded.
Maya chuckled and smiled softly. “Now, here’s the deal, my sweet. You back off a little, unless you think I am in danger, and I will personally finance your video game habit. You ask me for it and I will give it to you.” She the sealed the deal with a kiss and Takeshi was putty in her hands.
She then presented him with a new DSi to replace his broken DS lite and smiled. “Now, any requests?” She asked.
He said nothing, instead kissing her fiercely and Maya knew she had him right where she wanted him.
Maya and Takeshi’s relationship blossomed from then on. Maya never again had a problem with him. In fact, Takeshi spoiled Maya, giving her whatever she wanted. But Maya didn’t want for much. Takeshi had already given her so much more than she could have hoped for.
One morning, Maya was roused from sleep by the lingering scent of Takeshi, only to find that he was nowhere to be found, but a small black box was lying on the pillow beside her. Curious, Maya picked it up and opened it.
Inside, on a long golden chain was a gray colored fang. Maya wasn’t sure what it was until she remembered a certan Wolfen ritual. Her eyes widened and then she smiled, proudly handing the fang around her neck.
At last, Maya figured she had rightfully earned Takeshi’s love.
