I just watched AVATAR (no spoilers)

And it has been exactly what I was expecting... an amazing fantasy universe with criatures really well done... but they didn´t work too much in the history and in the characters. And at the end, it looks like another action movie with about 40 minutes secuence of battles and more battles. The characters I liked most were Sigourney Weaver's

I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm afraid that I'm going to share your point of view.
I'm just fed up with this kind of movie which there is no subtility and it's only made for the special effects.
By the way, the critic of my tvguide is frakkin hilarious.
I will tell you more when I see it.

As I said to Anne, Pandora and the Navy's world are wonderful, is fair to say it. And despite I didn´t love the movie, I don´t regret of waching it either...but the scripth was written by Cameron...you can imagine. :P

I feared the movie would be exactly as you said. It really doesn't interest me at all. I've been trying to talk myself into seeing it, but I doubt that I will. Thanks for the review. (((Trin)))

I think it's an opinion of many people actually and I noticed that Cameron wrote the script too... you can imagine. But Pandora and the Navy's world are wonderful, is fair to say it.

Aún no he visto Avatar, pero por lo que voy leyendo, llega 8 años tarde. Ya en 2001 teníamos en pantalla «Final fantasy the spirits within» con unos efectos visuales equiparables, y una historia más original. Esta película parece que bebe de otras como «Un hombre llamado caballo» entre otras.

no eres el primero que la compara con Final Fantasy en el aspecto visual. Y en cuanto a la historia, es idéntica que Bailando con Lobos o El ultimo samurai, aunque a mí estas dos me parecen muchisimo mejores.
