Evolution of a Panorama

So, quite a few years ago, back when I still lived in San Diego, I took a series of pictures of the La Jolla Cliffs with the intention of using them to create a panorama. Hmm, /me didn't know hugin has a white balance/exposure correction feature. Oh there it is, in 0.7.0. What settings did you feed it? /me will try it out on some of his wonky panos when he gets back to Oregon.

Hmm. The fisheye version does some pretty intense distortion on the building, and produces some improbable trees in front of it. I like that the bent horizon version includes Maddy, but don't love the mess of trash & cans that surround her-- makes that part of the image cluttered. Any possibility of moving her and her bench closer to the cliff, eliminating the mess? The curved ocean does bother me, but it seems like there should be some way to fix up just that bit, without warping the building so much.
