Lately I've found myself recurrently pondering the subject of Junior High School. The advent of this I owe to Livejournal's schools lists (where you put the schools you've attended on your profile, etc.)

What did it was finding my elementary school in their database, and contacting the one other person who was listed under that school. There are ( Read more... )

You could also exercise regularly, thereby strengthening yourself and increasing your stamina. Take it from an old fart of 25--I'm in much better shape physically now than I was even a year or two ago when college ended.

but my point was that in spite of all my regular excercize in highschool, I'm stronger now without even excercizing than I used to be. But I'm strong in a different way.

that being said... yes I should excercize more. as should most americans.

Ah yes, that _was_ your point, wasn't it. I'm in Toronto, hence anything I say before 10am Eastern is pretty much just total garbage. :) I walked into the IBM site, asked security for a temp badge to replace the one that I'd left in my hotel room, and (three hours later) discovered that the two badges from yesterday(!) were hanging out of my pocket on a lanyard. Alas, these fancy RFID badges cost $100 if you fail to return them. I'm already in warm water for spending my boss's money profligately this month...

And looking back I'm amazed at how weak we really were when we thought we were strong.

Bwa ha! The "Eighth Grader: King of the World" phase is by far one of the funniest of all childhood. They think they own the world, but it's only a matter of months until they're powerless freshmen in high school. I laugh at this phenomenon every time I drive down Bancroft Avenue in my hometown. We were never that silly, and certainly never that small.. were we?

Good post!
