I HATE it when people do this. >.< Especially if there are bike hooks available and they don't give a rat's ass.

And even if there aren't (which some cars don't)... just the other day, there was this one girl who wheeled her bike ALLLLL the way down the aisle of the ENTIRE length of the MAX (it was one of the old skool ones that are completely hi-rise) before getting out with it.

Same goes for baby strollers and those wire "granny" shoppping carts (which I ranted about in the entry previous to this).

Thank you for doing this. <3 I honestly do appreciate it when people who use them are considerate about it as you are. My rant was mostly directed to people who aren't, who actually block the entire width of an aisle so that you end up tripping over the carts/strollers/bikes/whatever when you try to get past. What makes it harder is that the drivers rarely bother to do anything about it. =/

Ugh, and don't even get me started on the mommy privilege thing. =P Just the other day, a group of young mothers with their babies pretty much blocked all the aisles of one of the low-floor MAX cars with their strollers, and let the kids run back and forth through the car. =P If you even dared to say something, you pretty much got your head bitten off.

The only times I ever took my bike on the streetcar were when something was wrong with the bike (derailleur was fucked up) and after I had gone to the ER at Good Sam due to a severe migraine and was too dopey from the medication to ride it home.
