Went to see Wrath of the Titans tonight. It was... yanno. Better than the first one, at any rate. Best character by far: Agenor. Could watch a whole movie about him.

BUT. The best part was the trailers! I very nearly peed my pants when I saw the one for Prometheus. Homg. SO. EXCITED. And Avengers, YAY. For one thing, Iron Man! My favourite superhero ( Read more... )

John Hobbit Watson = AWESOME!!!

I'm not too excited about the Avengers because the movies (aside from Iron Man) have been so disappointing.

I agree about the Avengers prequels, for sure. I adore Iron Man, but Thor wasn't so awesome. I mean, I like the dialogue and acting (mostly) but it was just so short, it was almost silly. And Captain America suuuuuucked! Never have I been so ambivalent toward a superhero that I wanted him to die, just for being so bloody boring.

I am looking forward to this new movie, though, for pretty much only two reasons: a) Robert Downey Jr, whom I love more than a thousand lovable things, and b) JOSS WHEDON.

Indeed, all hail the WHEDON.

What I hated about Thor was the plot because it didn't make sense. Why did everyone hate Loki, even before he'd done anything? All Thor's friends were basically committing treason, just because they didn't like him and I thought he was pretty much the only good thing about the movie.

Haven't seen Captain America yet, though I've been reading some Tony/Steve stuff because whythehellnot?

Yeah, all right, I totally read Tony/Steve. Why? Because Tony Stark is a god among fictional men. I would fuck him even if I were a toaster from another planet. But Steve... ugh. Don't expect anything at all from the Captain America movie. Seriously, that guys is the most milquetoast, banal, boring, blah (alliteration ftw!) douche bag I've ever seen on tv. He's so cliche, I could pretty much lip synch all his lines, the first time I saw them.

Personally, I loved Loki in Thor (hardy har har-- I like him that way, too!). I know he was supposed to be the hated bad guy, which makes my affection for him all the more unfortunate for the writers, I suppose. I didn't really find him objectionable at all. Thor himself, on the other hand, was a total numbskull, but deeply amusing. I might watch it again, someday.

What did you think of the Prometheus trailer?!
