Karla had been trying not to strangle either male taking a walk in the park when she sensed a familiar psychic scent. She picked up her pace a bit--it would be very nice to spend some time with a calm, rational, female friend for a bit.
And then she caught another scent. New. Male. Almost...slimy. Forget walking quickly, Karla was running. On the air, of course. No reason to give anyone advanced warning by stumbling through the underbrush. Her handwavey lessons with Max had her pausing behind a tree to take in the scene. Some skinny, sickly-looking male was looming over Raven. She was staring up at him with an expression of mindless happiness. Very much not the Raven she knew.
She stepped out from behind the tree. "You," she said, voice cold and forbidding. "Get away from Raven. Now."
