The Park, Monday Evening

Feb 01, 2010 18:15

Raven wanted to spend some time meditating, as she did almost every day, but she was having trouble blocking out all the background noise in the dorms. The roof and the sixth floor safe room were both handwavily occupied, so despite the chill in the air, she decided to venture outside to the park to find some solace. The sky was clear and the ( Read more... )

Damon was out because...well because he was just friggen bored. That was the reason he wandered around anywhere, really. He was contemplating on giving up looking for entertainment and just getting drunk at the bar when he saw Raven walking around. Looks like he wouldn't have to suffer Tino's company after all.

He decided to go for the more confrontational approach than the cliche stalking thing that Anne Rice liked to write about. "Well if it isn't the virgin daiquiri girl."

As good as this was (and it was really good. She had to have been a witch or something, he could taste it), Damon really couldn't risk killing this chick. He pulled back after a moment and smiled down at Raven, not really caring that there was blood dripping down his chin. "Now that was interesting."

It wasn't every day you ran into a human that was into that sort of kinky stuff.

The memories Raven had tried for months to deny had burst free, and she stared up at Damon, dazed and not really seeing him. "More," she whispered.

Damon smiled at her and shook his head. "I'm afraid I can't, sweetheart. Don't want you dying on me."

Despite the fact that Raven had seemed to enjoy what he had done to her, he still felt he needed to clean up his mess. He gently cupped Raven's face with his hands and got very serious for a moment. "I need you to look at me."

This part never seemed to be much of a problem because he had some very pretty eyes, if he did say so himself.

Her own eyes fluttered, but Raven obeyed, looking into his (very pretty) eyes. She should heal herself, but at the moment she was too weak and confused.

"There we go," Damon said soothingly. He looked into Raven's eyes, his own pupils constricting as he worked his mind control on her. Damon should just be putting the old 'an animal did it' story into her head and leaving, but he couldn't resist trying to figure out why she had reacted so strongly to him.

"Is this your first time being bitten by a vampire?" Damon asked.

"No," she said breathlessly, held captive by his gaze. "Professor...Professor Maximus."

"Really now? That's good news for me," Damon said. He took in a deep breath, focused, and got to the important part of this bit. "You didn't see me here tonight. In fact, you haven't seen me in weeks. That Maximus guy? He did this to you. Say it."

"Professor Maximus...did this to me," Raven repeated obediently, believing it completely. "I have not seen you in weeks."

Damon smiled and let go of Raven. "There's a good girl. You can hurry on home now."

"Home," Raven murmured. She almost lost her balance when Damon released her, but managed to keep her footing and turned to stumble toward the dorms.
