Poor Rodney! I liked the whump and angst in this fic a lot, and also how you use Ronon in it and mention his own mistake (which can often be overlooked in fic). Love the gambling den at the end there!! Nice touch!
Ronon's mistake was a pretty big one team in terms of team relationships, so it just seemed to fit well into my story and gave me the opening for some Rodney and Ronon moments. As for the ending, wildcat88 sparked the gambling idea and I ran with it. I was thinking it would be a paragraph or two, but it was just too much fun not to explore it more thoroughly. I had a really vivid image of it all in my mind when I was writing it.
Great Story. Love the humor, angst and teamyness. I really like the Ronan and Rodney friendship. That Ronan was trying to correct a mistake he made. Love the Lorne scenes and his banter with McKay.
I thought it was a nice touch to have Sheppard admit to what he thought was his mistake in the Doranda situation.
Thank you. Yes, I thought Sheppard as leader could have handled it a bit differently. But they all had something about their role on the team to learn from this incident.
The end scene was a fun way for the team to rebuild their relationships. I had as much fun writing it as the team had visiting it!
I really liked this fic! Angsty but not excessively so, and well-written whump. I felt almost exhausted myself, just watching Rodney work himself into the ground. ;) I like how you included Ronon's own mess up with Teyla; Ronon counseling Rodney, and that final test, was one of my favorite parts. Great last line.
I love this. I kind of wish the show had given us something more on how McKay recovered Sheppard's trust after Doranda, but this story was exactly what they missed. And great how the team all work together at the end.
Thank you. The final scene in "Trinity" between John and Rodney was so moving and powerful. It really begged some sort of follow-up. I'm glad you enjoyed the team at the end.
