Title: Keeping in Contact
Fandom: Inception/Marvel (movies)
Rating: PG
Characters: Arthur, Tony Stark
Word count: ~250
Warnings: AU, crossover, stalker-ish behavior
Summary: In an effort to make sure Arthur stays on the legal side, or at least out of jail, Tony sends him postcards to remind him he cares-or at least, knows where he is.
Notes: This is the third story in my “Daddy Dearest” verse and will make much more sense if you read the others, especially “
Phone Call”, first. I'm not sure why Tony ended up like this, and I'm not sure I like it. Anyway, it's a very short fic while I get the longer fics to cooperate. And yes, I subscribe to the theory that Inception takes place Twenty Minutes Into The Future.

Hey there!
How’s the weather? I hear India’s a furnace this time of year.

Hello from the USA!
Watch out for black-market growth hormones. They’re getting better, but dreams are never as good as reality.

You haven’t replied. You know the address-mine never changes.

“Dad,”
I felt no need to reply to you in the same way that I felt no need as a child to reply to playground bullies.

Son,
That’s harsh. I’m not a bully. Just a dad trying to reach his kid. Would you rather I phoned you again?

“Dad,”
Please don’t. And put the satellites back where they’re supposed to be.

Son,
I wouldn’t need the satellites if you’d tell me what you’re up to.

Son,
Of course it’s my business. You’re my son.

Son,
I know you got the last postcard. Come on, reply. We were having so much fun.

Son,
Fine. If you won’t reply, I’ll have to find another way to contact you.

“Don’t you dare,” Arthur muttered as he tossed the burning postcard into the wastebasket.
