Everybody else is doing it so why can't I?

Ask me any question, about myself, or what I think about something--personal, political, fannish, whatever--and I'll answer it.

I did this meme not TOO long ago... but honestly, I really didn't get very many interesting questions. So I'm giving you all another shot.

ANYTHING GOES!

Fluently... English.

Can carry on conversations and hold my own in the speaking park of the world, Spanish and Gaelic (though you're generally hard pressed to find a seriously Gaelic speaking section anymore).

I know a decent amount of Latin, some German, some French and a handful of Hungarian (thanks to some choice phrases taught to me by some very fun online friends).

I'm ALWAYS up for learning!

And after my Radek/Rodney fic I should add a bit of Czech.

What the first line (or two or short paragraph) of the THREE earliest fics you wrote that you still have available to you to answer this? (Fanfic or original) (and how old were you when you wrote them>?)

What is one thing you wished your parent knew or understood about you that they don't?

What is one thing you have on your computer you would just diez ded if your parents found it?

Okay, the fics I'll have to research.... but I will post them.

2 - One thing I wished my parents knew and understood about me that they don't.... hmmm... I think this would be more directed towards my father than my mother.

My father doesn't understand my writing. Not necessarily the material (as neither of my parents have read my smut) but the fact that I write in general. I've tried to explain it to him... but he doesn't get it.

For my mother... I guess the one thing that she seems okay with but doesn't necessarily understand... is my openness and understanding to so much that she's uncertain of. In some ways my mother and I are EXTREMELY alike, in other ways we're polar opposites.

Now, see, that was my mother with me. She thought my writing was a waste of paper (that she paid for, obviously).

If you had the chance to get something off your chest -- good, bad, mean, whatever -- with one person on your flist with guaranteed no negative ramifications (you can erase the moment from time if you want to afterwards)... what would you say?

Hmmm... THIS is a good one.

There is one person on my flist, though she probably won't read this anyway, that I would have to sit down for a chat, and tell her that while she might find herself sarcastic, she's really not.

I'd have to tell her that beating other people down for certain things about their outfits, and announcing things (like the color of their underwear), and pointing out certain faults about their appearances is not funny and endearing. It's rude and annoying.

The whole beating the people around her down for the sake of her own appearance, just makes her appear badly to others, and I'm surprised no one has pointed it out to her before. Or maybe they have and she just chose to be an idiot and ignore them.
