Give me the names of two characters and I will tell you why character A loves character B. I might answer with a drabble, a quick bit of meta, or a list, just to make things that tiny bit more OMGSOEXCITING!.

Okay, saw this and just HAD to do it.

So, go ahead...

He'd always had a thing for shorter women. He'd always had a bit of a thing for Asian women. And women who being attracted to, meant threats of bodily harm, possible dismemberment if their fathers found out -- yeah, SUCH a turn on.

The fact that she was all of the above wrapped into one firecracker of a package that liked to pretend that she saw right throug him and wanted nothing to do with him -- well that just made it even more of a challenge.

And OH, did he EVER enjoy a challenge.

HeeHee...good one!

Yeah, if Landry Evah! found out...his a$$ would be grass.

I always had this in the back of my mind after that encounter in the hall when he defended her honor when that subordinate commented about her hawtness.

Oh, dear, it didn't take me nearly that long to have shippy thoughts going on between them. But I think they just all need to throw in the towel and have sex.

She was used to men being intimidated by her.

There was something about a Glock 9 and a pair of handcuffs that put most men on edge around her.

Chase wasn't one of those men.

Chase didn't bat an eyelash when her leather jacket had come off and the holster had been securely placed on her hip. The handcuffs had caught more of his attention with a raised eyebrow and the quick - 'Planning on using those later?'

She'd heard it before, usually followed by a nervous laugh to try and cover up their discomfort. This time it wasn't.

And she knew it was love.

They'd always been close.

Had always been able to talk, be able to share things that it seemed like they couldn't with anyone else.

He'd been married and searching for his wife. She'd been going through a time in her life when celibacy was something she needed. To recenter, redefine.

After Sha're's death things just hadn't moved along between them as they might have if they were any two other people. But they had always remained very close.

His death had hit her hard. Having him back had hit her harder. More so than she wanted to admit. It had pushed her into a doomed relationship.

Losing him -- and getting him back -- again, had finally pushed her in the right direction.

As she pushed him against the wall and gripped his shoulder as their lips connected, she wondered if she'd ever known any other love.

And when she told him they were close, but not in that way.... she wished it had been. :)

She'd always had a thing for the lunatic fringe.

Whether that said more about her, or the type of guy she seemed to fall for she wasn't sure.

And there couldn't be much more insane then falling for a superior officer.

She'd thought it was lust at first. Something that an alien virus had helped to build up in her system. Something that dreams and fantasies of a locker room where he hadn't had the foresight to stop her kept fueling.

Years of working together had helped her to squash the urges and desires. They still popped up from time to time, but they weren't the be all and end all of her feelings for him.

Things had never seemed right and she had almost become convinced that it would remain an unrequited interest. Maybe it was something that she only wanted it because she knew she couldn't have it?

But things had changed, dynamics had shifted, and her feelings stayed. And he was there for her...just like always.
